Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager
and Application Engineer

CADspace Continues to grow and is now Australia’s largest dedicated SolidWorks reseller. We are looking for additional  staff with a technical background for our new Melbourne office.

Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager

We are looking for candidates who live and breathe success, you will enjoy the buzz that comes with closing a deal and relish in the challenges that you will face. You will be expected to represent the company and its products in a geographic territory leveraging additional business from managing existing clients, and prospecting for new business opportunities to expand our customer-base.

Minimum Experience

2 to 5 years sales experience.

Requirements

A self starter with good organisation skills is essential; you will need an understanding of the critical business issues that modern engineering & manufacturing companies seek to resolve, matching their needs with our World leading 3D CAD software solutions. Ideal candidates will have an engineering background and a proven track record of successful sales. Having previously sold IT and/or CAD Solutions will be of significant benefit.

Technical

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification beneficial
  • Well versed in Microsoft Windows and MS/Office products
  • Experience with downstream applications (CAM, FEA, PDM…) is a plus

Industry Experience

Application Engineer

Based at our new Victoria state office in Melbourne CADspace is a fast growing and dynamic SolidWorks vendor backed by 30 years of CAD and CAM experience.

We are looking for an experienced engineer and CAD user to join our technical support team. Ideally candidates will have experience of using SolidWorks in industry and a degree in mechanical engineering, computer aided engineering or similar.

The role includes:

Providing comprehensive support for the SolidWorks product suite (including Simulation (FEA, CFD) & PDM). Support is delivered using telephone, Live Meetings, video presentations and where necessary site visits. Extensive knowledge of Finite Element analysis or Electrical design will be a distinct advantage.

Delivering Training

Deliver classroom and on-site training courses from the SolidWorks training curriculum. This will include basic training to new SolidWorks users along with more advanced training to experienced users.

Account Management

You will be responsible for the technical management of a number of key customers. This will include regular communication and site-visits to ensure a smooth initial implementation as well as ongoing upgrades and development.

Pre-sales Demonstrations

Deliver standard and customer specific product demonstrations, to show the products’ capabilities and also how the potential end user may apply it to his or her business.

Most important will be your ability to fit into our team culture. You will be spending your time supporting the sales team in presentations and demonstrations, pre sales projects , training and handling support calls from users.
